In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada, Triangle Tube is conducting a voluntary product recall to repair 27 models of Prestige Solo & Prestige Excellence boilers (28 in Canada), and 2 models of Aerco Esteem boilers manufactured between December 2011 through April 2019.
The boilers can release carbon monoxide due to delayed ignitions or component damage, posing a risk of serious injury or death. Improper combustion settings can increase this hazard. All customers with a recalled product will be offered a free inspection and repair of their boilers. Nothing is more important to Triangle Tube than the safety of our products and we will continue to take all necessary action to protect our customers.

The boilers can release carbon monoxide (CO) due to delayed ignitions or component damage, posing a risk of serious injury or death. Improper combustion settings can increase this hazard.
A delayed ignition is when fuel is released into the boiler and does not immediately light. This can result in a more forceful ignition, and in most instances will result in a louder-than-expected ignition. The recalled boilers were designed to comply with the consensus safety standard for prevention of negative consequences from delayed ignitions. However, in some circumstances, these ignitions can result in damage to the boiler and a risk of carbon monoxide exposure. The repair being used for this recall will decrease the potential for these delayed ignitions.
We will arrange for a technician to perform the repair, free of charge. The repair involves an upgrade to the ignition system and a series of services and start-up checks. A technician will also make sure the boiler’s combustion settings are set to the manufacturers’ recommended settings.
No, it is not. In 2020, Triangle Tube recalled many of the same boilers for an issue relating to the potential for flue gas to escape from the vent adapter if it was not securely re-attached to after maintenance or repair. If you did not receive the 2020 repair, service technicians will provide you with the repair as part of this recall.
